PHẦN I. TỔNG HỢP KIẾN THỨC TRỌNG TÂM

1. PHONETICS (NGỮ ÂM)

- Âm /ʊ/ và /uː/ (Unit 1):
- /ʊ/ (ngắn): book, foot, look, cook, push.
- /uː/ (dài): music, group, food, school, blue.
- Âm /ə/ và /ɪ/ (Unit 2):
- /ə/ (ngắn/yếu): about, picture, village, gather.
- /ɪ/ (ngắn): big, visit, pick, build.
- Cụm phụ âm /bl/ và /cl/ (Unit 3):
- /bl/: black, blue, blow, blanket.
- /cl/: club, class, clever, climb.

2. VOCABULARY & COLLOCATIONS (TỪ VỰNG VÀ CỤM TỪ)

- Unit 1: Leisure Time
- Leisure activities: making origami, doing DIY, hanging out with friends, surfing the net, doing puzzles.
- Cụm tính từ đi kèm giới từ chỉ sở thích:
- be fond of + V-ing/N (thích)
- be keen on + V-ing/N (say mê)
- be interested in + V-ing/N (quan tâm, hứng thú)
- be into + V-ing/N (rất mê)
- be crazy about + V-ing/N (phát cuồng vì)
- Unit 2: Life in the Countryside
- Countryside activities: harvesting rice, herding cattle/sheep, riding a buffalo, flying kites, loading rice onto trucks, picking fruit.
- Adjectives: peaceful, vast, hospitable, picturesque, hard-working.
- Unit 3: Teenagers
- Teen issues: school clubs, peer pressure, exam stress, bully, focus on studies.
- Social media: browse websites, upload pictures, log on/out, connect with friends.

3. GRAMMAR (NGỮ PHÁP)

a) Verbs of liking and disliking (Động từ chỉ sự yêu/ghét):
- Theo sau bởi V-ing hoặc To-V (nghĩa không đổi): like, love, hate, prefer.
- Ví dụ: I like reading books. = I like to read books.
- Chỉ đi với V-ing: fancy, enjoy, detest, mind, avoid.
- Ví dụ: She enjoys making crafts. / He detests doing homework late.

b) Comparative adverbs (So sánh hơn của trạng từ):
- Trạng từ ngắn (1 âm tiết: fast, hard, early, late...):

- Ví dụ: Minh runs faster than me.
- Trạng từ dài (tận cùng -ly: quietly, fluently, carefully...):

- Ví dụ: People in the village drive more carefully than city drivers.
- Trạng từ bất quy tắc:
- well → better
- badly → worse
- far → farther / further

c) Simple and compound sentences (Câu đơn và câu ghép):
- Liên từ kết hợp (Coordinating conjunctions - FANBOYS): for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.
- Trước liên từ thường có dấu phẩy: Clause 1, and/but/or/so Clause 2.
- Trạng từ liên kết (Conjunctive adverbs): however (tuy nhiên), therefore (vì vậy), otherwise (nếu không thì).
- Cấu trúc: Clause 1; however/therefore/otherwise, Clause 2. hoặc Clause 1. However/Therefore/Otherwise, Clause 2.
